Competition for the General Courts of Appeal: Five Candidates Have Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice

On May 11, 2026, the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered the confirmation of the suitability of three candidates to administer justice at the Kyiv Court of Appeal, two candidates at the Odesa Court of Appeal and one candidate at the Kharkiv Court of Appeal.

Oleksandr Skrypka, Dmytro Tkachenko and Ivan Zeikan have confirmed the ability to administer justice at the Kyiv Court of Appeal.

At the Kharkiv Court of Appeal, Volodymyr Ovdiienko has confirmed the ability to administer justice.

Yurii Bodnaruk has confirmed the ability to administer justice at the Odesa Court of Appeal. Viktor Siianko failed to confirm the ability to administer justice at the Odesa Court of Appeal.

In total, interviews were conducted with 49 candidates for the Odesa Court of Appeal: 27 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 18 candidates failed to confirm it, and 4 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. One candidate withdrew from the competition.

For the Kharkiv Court of Appeal, interviews were conducted with 19 candidates: 13 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, and 6 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. The qualification assessment for 1 candidate has been suspended.

For the Kyiv Court of Appeal, interviews were conducted with 39 candidates: 19 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 13 candidates failed to confirm it, and 7 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. Two candidates withdrew from the competition.
